St. John Paul II Parish provides food and service to St. Mary's Food Kitchen the fourth Friday of each month.
Prepare a dish: On the second weekend of the month, sign-ups, casserole dishes and recipes are available at the Hospitality Table after all Masses. We typically prepare meatloaf and cheesy potato casserole.
Donate: We also take 15 cans (the big #10, 6lb cans) of green beans or fruit to the food kitchen each month. Donations of these cans may be bought to the parish office anytime.
Serving: On the second weekend of the month, server volunteer sign-ups are available at the Hospitality Table after all Masses. 10-12 servers are needed each month. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old, and volunteers age 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Serving commitment includes: arriving at 8:50am at the Parish Rectory to carpool to the food kitchen, setting up, serving lunch off a buffet, and cleaning up.
